Comments Louise Corselli-Nordblad 16/4/2018:

  • (not taking into account the employment rate effect of the United Kingdom potentially leaving the EU). => Should be deleted
  • I have almost succeeded to insert the smart map - our technician will look tomorrow. In any case, when comparing over time, data has two decimals - should be changed
  • "The employment rate in 16 Member States was less than 5 percentage points below its national employment rate targets in 2017. There are different examples of this: The employment rat in Denmark has been stable over the whole period, while in Poland it has grown considerably and steadily, from being more than 10 percentage points from their target in 2003 to being less than 5 percentage points from them in 2017. Slovenia and Portugal have had fluctuations." => I re-wrote a bit - is this fine?
  • "Germany, Estonia, Lithuania, and Sweden are the only Member States where the blue bars are entirely above the 75 % line, meaning that they fulfilled the average EU-28 employment rate target both for men and for women in 2017. This was also the case for 3 non-EU Member States, Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland. In contrast we find Belgium, Greece, Spain, Croatia, and Italy among the Member States, and in addition Montenegro and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia having blue bars fully below the 75 % line, meaning that neither men nor women achieved the average EU employment rate target in 2017." => Why mention non-EU MS for an EU target?
  • Figures 5, 6 and 7 should mention that it is in the EU in the title
  • Fig 4: strange gridlines
  • All figures: should have the new Excel add ins (2.0) with title and logo inside the graph

Comments Håvard Lien 17/4/2018:

  • I agree on the text revisions, and fixed the titles for figures 5-7
  • Looking forward to seeing how the smart map link will work
  • Figure 4: the added lines are to improve readability, since the country labels are quite far from the bars. I have one alternative approach in mind that I can send you for your consideration
  • For the new Excel addins I would like to see an example file before I start updating the layout
