- Dear Torbjoern,
Thanks for this new article on which I would have some comments on the content of the text and on the layout of graphs and tables.
- 1) In the sentence: R & D expenditure in Turkey was equivalent to EUR 77.3 per inhabitant, nearly twice as high as the EUR 39.2 per inhabitant value in Serbia, approximately four times as high as in Montenegro and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and nearly seven times as high as in Kosovo: the figures for Kosovo are totally missing in table 1, thanks for checking
- 2) In th" sentence: An analysis of R & D expenditure by source of funds shows that more than half (55.0 %) of the total expenditure in 2012 within the EU-28 was funded…..: the year mentioned in the title of figure 2 is 2013 and not 2012
- 3) In figure 1: the line concerning Montenegro is discontinued from 2009 onwards (only two points are drawn on the graph) should not it be continued?
- 4) In table 2 : I would add a vertical line to separate the research and development personnel from the researchers.
- 5) In figure 3 :I would avoid the patterns in the column 'estimates: division between men and women not available' (for EU-28 and 2008 for Montenegro). Instead I would take a different colour from the colour palette.
Thanks for you help. Best regards Dominique Tim Allen 17 December 2015. EN edits.
