Population surveyed covers persons aged 15 and over, living in private households (persons living in collective households, such as residential homes, boarding houses, hospitals, religious institutions and workers’ hostels, are therefore not included). This category comprises all persons living in the households surveyed during the reference week. The definition also includes persons who are absent from the households for short periods due to studies, holidays, illness, business trips, etc. (but who have maintained a link with the private household). Persons on compulsory military service are not included.
